Social Studies

The social studies program at MSMA explores the world and people around the world, studying similarities and differences, human interdependence, rights and responsibilities. Students study cultural practices and how people live in different parts of the world.  World Geography and History are incorporated into the academic program.  Research skills are integrated with writing and technology. Globes, maps and time lines are an integral part of social studies at the Mount.

Grade two, three and four use topics from their Social Studies Program in preparing and presenting their Class Fair Project. The second grade focuses on the United States of America, the third grade on Countries of the world and the fourth grade on New Hampshire History.  Each child researches their topic, designs a poster and makes a model as part of their presentation.
