KINDERGARTEN NEWS LETTER
Welcome to Mt. St. Mary's Academy! It is always a pleasure to welcome "old" and new parents to school. Miss Jenn Sculley, and Mrs. Tionna Bahill are excited and anxious to participate in laying the foundation of your child's and the class of 2010-2011's learning experiences. We make a dedicated pledge to you parents to provide a developmentally appropriate curriculum, a nurturing environment for your child, and to give lots of TLC to you and your child.
SEPTEMBER
We are off to a great start! This month we will be learning many new things.
Science- We will be exploring the ocean using our senses.
Social Studies- We will be learning about our new friends in our classroom communities.
Language Arts- We will be meeting new letters, their sounds (upper and lower case), and new words. We will also be focusing on the -am and -ap word families.
Math- We will be focusing on numerals 0-9, AB patterns, shapes, and colors.
This month we will also be taking our first field trip! At the end of the month we will wrap up our science unit by taking a fieldtrip to the Seacoast Science Center. The date is tenative, we will update our calendar once it has been confirmed.
