Mrs. Pat Baldissard
Welcome to Mount Saint Mary Academy!

To teach is an easy matter:  But to educate requires ingenuity, energy and perseverance without limits.
          Frances Warde, RSM

On behalf of the faculty and staff, I welcome you to the 2010-2011 school year.  This is a year of new beginnings, and we are very excited!

Mount Saint Mary Academy is a private Catholic elementary school sponsored by the Sisters of Mercy of the Americas, Northeast Community.  We are committed to promoting a balance of intellectual, spiritual and emotional education.

The curriculum at Mount Saint Mary Academy is based on the Core Knowledge Sequence, the Diocesan Guide and the New Hampshire Educational frameworks.  We are dedicated to building a solid foundation of learning.  Students receive instruction in reading, language arts, social studies, math, science, religion, technology,
Spanish, physical education, music and art.  Our experienced faculty helps to develop a lifelong love of learning in our students.

Mount Saint Mary Academy strives to help your child develop a spiritual way of life.  We pray and meditate as a community.  Students are versed in the gospel values of peace and justice.  Students study the gospel, learn doctrine and are involved with the works of Mercy in community projects.  Your child's spiritual development is of the utmost importance to us.

Mount Saint Mary Academy is dedicated to academic excellence and uses a "whole-child" approach to teaching.  Our program promotes learning through a multi- sensory approach.  We write about it, sing about it, draw or paint it and in some cases will learn through dance.  Students are encouraged to personalize learning through experience.  Individuals are given opportunities to work and advance beyond personal expectations. Instruction helps build confidence and leadership skills.

Welcome to "The Mount", where your child is important to us.  You can be sure that we will provide a safe and caring environment.  Come learn and pray with us!

Sincerely,
Mrs. Pat
Principal
